Winsor & Newton Artists' Picture Cleaner is a natural oil-ammonia emulsion formulated to clean varnished paintings that have been affected by dust, dirt, or oxidation. Before and during use, the solution must be shaken as settling will occur. Apply a small amount of the cleaner to a soft cloth or cotton wool pads and clean small areas of the painting in circular motions. Afterward, remove any excess with distilled turpentine, being extra careful when cleaning unvarnished paintings. If color starts to come off, immediately discontinue use.
