The kit contains 2 travel brushes from the Series 700 by Silvia Molinari: the Series 700 travel brush size 0 with metal ferrule and the Series 700 quill brush size 4 with round shape and brass wire binding.
The 2 travel brushes selected for the kit are ideal for watercolour and diluted techniques, in cruelty-free synthetic fibre, are equipped with a resistant resealable brass capsule, and are contained in the refined brush case in cotton canvas, with a button closure that allows you to always carry the brushes with you when traveling and during open-air painting sessions, keeping them protected.
The new kit has been embellished with a new graphic design. The travel brushes of the Series 700 contained in the kit are round-tipped, in synthetic fibre squirrel imitation with brass handle with resealable capsule and nickel-plated brass ferrule.
The brush kit is ideal for painting plein air thanks to the convenient case. The brushes designed with the botanical watercolourist Silvia Molinari, are ideal for watercolour and oil shades. The microporous and thin synthetic fibre guarantees a high level of hygroscopicity, that is, a very large capacity for absorbing water without releasing, unless previously placed on a surface. Silvia is a teacher of watercolour courses held throughout Italy, so she wanted a line of products that was easily transportable and suitable for painting en plein air. The grey handle is made of resin, highly durable and stable, suitable for being immersed in water, does not deform, is heavier than classic wood and guarantees excellent balance.
The brass capsule is very solid but still light and has a large diameter to ensure an excellent grip and allows you to have a steady hand for small strokes on paper. The capsule is perforated at the end to allow air exchange and therefore the drying of the brush once stored. The closed brush is equipped with an identification number, to recognise its size without having to open it.
The two brushes are contained in a white cotton brush holder decorated in colour, with red interior. The brush holder is resealable with button, perfect to be transported. THE BRUSHSTROKE
The travel brush size 0 with metal ferrule guarantees particular precision in the details. Ideal for defining petals, leaves, lights, small sketches of people and objects. Its format makes it ideal for use on supports such as notebooks, albums and carnets de voyage.
The quill brush size 4 with brass wire binding has a very flexible and soft tip. The fibre remains very compact and so does the stroke. Recommended for landscapes and quick portraits of animals.
The Series 700 Silvia Molinari in hollow synthetic fibre, combines the characteristics of excellent water resistance typical of natural fibre with the uniform and precise stroke that distinguishes synthetic fibres.
The stroke is clean, uniform, the mark clear and precise; it responds quickly to changes in direction and intensity, as you would expect from an excellent synthetic brush. The exceptional ability to retain water recalls the typical features of natural fibres, as well as its softness on large painting areas.
